The 4 Stages of Entrepreneurial Freedom
Freedom isn’t a feeling. It’s a formula. Here’s how it works.
There’s a brutal reality where most entrepreneurs built themselves a job instead of an actual business.
A few weeks ago I was talking to a solopreneur on a Zoom call and he didn’t understand why it was so hard for him to a) scale and b) spend more time with his family.
I took a look at how he operating his business and I was really direct with him…
“Duh… you’re stuck in stage 1. You’re self-employed — you’re missing stage 2 & 3”.
Here are the four stages of entrepreneurial freedom:
Self-employment (trading time for money)
Systems (reduces your time spent in the business)
Scale (you’re delegating to a team and/or technology to execute your systems)
Sovereignty (business runs without you)
This solopreneur’s issue is that he can’t scale OR spend time with his family due to one thing.
Time Constraints
When your business depends on you to function, you're capped.
Capped on time. Capped on impact. Capped on freedom.
To break the ceiling, you need two weapons: Systems to reclaim your time.
People (or tools) to protect it.
Most founders try to scale from stage 1 to 3.
But if you skip stage 2 — your business becomes a bigger cage.
The goal isn’t just more revenue.
It’s more freedom.
If you’re stuck in the “Self-Employed Struggle Zone” — it’s time to start thinking in systems.
Reply to this email with “SYSTEMS” and I’ll send you the framework I use to map out & install freedom systems in any solo or service business.
Let’s get you out of the weeds.
